Krish Shetty, Co-Founder & CEO
An experienced technology executive with a track record of building and leading technology enterprises. Krish is responsible for the overall strategic direction of WizNucleus. He is deeply committed to delivering cyber security and compliance solutions to the infrastructure customers. Krish has extensive experience in the IBM enterprise software business. Before forming WizNucleus, Krish was the founder and President of Nastel Technologies, a company that built and delivered end-to-end transaction monitoring software on the IBM platform. During his leadership, the company became the leading mission critical middleware management and performance software supplier to the Global 2000 enterprise customers. He built important strategic partnerships with IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and BMC Software among others. Krish is a graduate of Harvard Business School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.
Satish Talekar, CTO – Research & Development
With strong industrial control systems engineering experience, Satish leads the technology management. He has over 20 years of experience in creating software solutions to support industrial business operations. Satish has held management positions in industrial and software engineering at Siemens Information Systems Ltd. and Larsen & Toubro Infotech USA. Satish’s knowledge areas include Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI), and HMI/SCADA. Satish is experienced in industrial automation systems including, PLCs, Industrial Drives, Process Controllers, Sensors & related hardware, as well as firmware and software based systems.Quality Assurance & Control, Enterprise Asset Management, Certification & Audits, SPC, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), PLM, Product Configurators.
Kevin Kumpf, NERC CIP –Solution Architect – SME
Kevin has over 15 years of seasoned security, compliance, solution architecting and management leadership experience. He has worked in all areas of IT and OT with a focus on security, compliance, threat detection/mitigation product development. Kevin has a strong background in critical infrastructure and the Federal / DoD vertical. Previously Kevin held the position of Security Architect / Director of Operational Technologies / Smart Grid Group at Iberdrola USA, Inc., Rochester, NY where he designed, architected, reviewed and approved a broad range of security products and technologies that provide security for three operating energy companies across multiple states. Solutions encompassed all areas including telecom and IP-based infrastructure, substations, energy control centers, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Bulk Electric System, Smart Grid, Gas Systems, OMS and EMS systems among others. As the OT group was new; he developed incident and business continuity response plans, baseline/risk assessment plans, group policies and standards, incident handling and forensic processes as well as security product implementations and management. Oversaw all aspects of cyber security / threat mitigation including NERC compliance.
Kevin’s work experience includes the design and deployment of secure infrastructure protection (email, malware, encryption, endpoint / wireless threats), WAN’s / LAN’s, Cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) application security, SIEM, Firewalls / UTM, IDS / IPS, PKI, DLP, and E=Forensics / E-Discovery. His other work experience includes GRC, risk, compliance, auditing, fraud detection, application engineering, training, networking, pen testing, to name just a few. He has a very strong background in compliance, security technologies and networking / telecommunication including wired, wireless, cellular, MPLS, and data/voice / VoIP. Kevin has worked with a wide variety of standards and frameworks including SOX, HIPPA, NERC CIP, NIST 800-35, PCI DSS, ALMAC, GLB, ISO 27001, STIG, ITIL / ITSM, COBIT and Six Sigma.
James Lutz, Director of Sales Engineering
Jim is responsible for managing sales engineering and solution delivery at WizNucleus. He has extensive experience working with nuclear and electric plant cyber security teams. He has managed projects in multiple stages from pre-sales engineering to post implementation. Jim has hands-on knowledge of NEI 08-09, NEI 13-10, NERC CIP v5/6 and other guidance and standards. He has supported the development of cyber security implementation strategies and related software implementation for Nuclear and Electric customers. Jim has trained various cyber security and compliance personnel on the WizNucleus software platform. Jim is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Karl Perman, NERC CIP SME
Karl is an industry expert in the areas of NERC compliance, cybersecurity, physical security, reliability, and risk management and information technology disciplines. Karl has held a faculty position at the University of Phoenix, and he has held security related executive leadership positions in the energy sector including Exelon Corporation and Southern California Edison. Karl was the first Director of Security for the North American Transmission Forum. He has served in law enforcement roles at the local and federal levels before entering the private sector. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and is the author of Protecting Critical Infrastructure. Karl has a Master’s Degree in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University and Bachelor’s Degree in Public Law and Government from Eastern Michigan University.
Kris Mohan, Director of Strategic Alliance
Kris Mohan has over 30 years of broad experience in the nuclear industry and has held senior management positions in engineering and commercial capacities. Kris has led some nuclear-design and project management efforts and was responsible for developing and conducting training programs for the AECL’s foreign clients. His technical and management contributions have been acknowledged by a number of respected industry and academic organizations. Kris is also the Chair of the CNS International Liaison Committee and was appointed by the Canadian Government to serve as a Citizenship Judge. Kris received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario and a Master of Business (MBA) from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec.
Raghu Rao, Director & Co-Founder
Raghu is the co-founder and director at WizNucleus. He has over 20 years experience in IT strategy, architecture, and design, development, outsourcing, marketing and sales. Raghu has successfully managed and implemented complex projects on varied platforms for clients in Government, Publishing, Aerospace, Utilities, Chemicals, Legal, Healthcare and Telecom. He has advised clients on the strategy and rollout of high-profile projects, including the Federal Internet Portal USA.gov (firstgov.gov), National Cancer Institute’s cancer.gov and other e-Government initiatives of the President’s Management Agenda. Prior to WizNucleus, Raghu was the President of InfoZen, which he founded in 1995. At Infozen, Raghu created a world-class team that filled a critical business gap by providing innovative turnkey solutions that converted data into actionable information. Raghu has a Master’s in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and an Electrical Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Margaret Harding, Advisory Board
Margaret is a nuclear expert and has over 27 years of experience. She has held important leadership positions at GE Nuclear Energy, among others, including in design, engineering, quality assurance and global compliance. Margaret has performed core and fuel designs for every BWR reactor design in current operation. Some of her designs still form the basis for the reload work done today for those reactors. Margaret has led large engineering groups, interacting with every major BWR utilities. She has worked with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to resolve technical issues and develop new products and procedures. Margaret is a certified Nuclear Quality Assurance auditor and is knowledgeable about the European regulation and is deeply knowledgeable of BWR technology. Margaret is a graduate of Iowa State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering.
Andrew Gallo, Advisory Board
Andrew Gallo is currently the director of reliability compliance for Austin Energy in Austin, Texas. He previously served as the chief compliance officer for Seattle City Light. He led Seattle City Light through its first on-site NERC reliability standards audit and Austin Energy through an on-site audit of its TO, TOP, TP, LSE, and DP functions. Before Seattle, he was assistant general counsel for Electric Reliability Council of Texas Inc. (ERCOT) where he worked on protocols compliance matters. Before becoming part of the electric industry, he worked in the oil and gas industry for 15 years. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia in 1985 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University in New York in 1982.
